Alumni Quotes

Our internship was interesting and versatile. Our group visited various NGOs and received a valuable, positive experience. Staying with host families provided us with the opportunity for a close cultural exchange of traditions and habits. Before my departure for the US, the Community Connections Program coordinators told us that our host families could become our friends for life. I thought this was unreal, especially when you know people for just a few weeks. Fortunately, I was mistaken – my host family became a real “family”. Now I am back in Ukraine, but I have left a small piece of my heart with these wonderful people.
