Alumni Quotes

We are often imprisoned by stereotypes.  Personally I long ago developed an opinion of there being a double standard in the external politics of the United States in imposing their "democratic" values on others.  From this there was a bias against "American" democracy in general.  The trip, however, freed me of many of my stereotypes.  After all, democracy has been around in the U.S. for over 200 years, and public diplomacy is something that is extremely effective and useful.
